Wonder Day 10.26.15

When someone asked my daughter something I answered for her. She lost confidence and her voice. Now I speak for myself—not for her, not others.  - adult in workshop

Wonder Day 8.26.15

I wish that people would stop pushing me around and stop treating me bad just because I may be smaller than them. I cannot stand up for myself and I want to prove them wrong by showing them that short people are just as good as them. We are able to do stuff for ourselves. The only time this happens is at school.

Whenever I see a small person being picked on by someone bigger than them, I help them to stand up to them and so I learn to help people to stand up for themselves. Those people are happy for what I have done and I have helped them to stand up for themselves. - middle school student, North Carolina USA

Wonder Day 3.2.15

The positive change I would make is to speak to my brother about his problems and how he can forget all about his addiction and respect my property. Don't you care. This hurts my feelings. Why aren't you stopping. Don't touch. Please clean up. Please stop. - middle school student, Texas

Wonder Day 1.6.15 - Emily Pasienza

I look in instead of out. When I choose to focus on others instead of feeling my feelings I lose myself and my voice. - Emily Pasienza
