Wonder Day 9.4.15

A positive change I have made to my life…. well really it’s still in the process of changing.

I am a dweller. When social problems or personal issues arise, I don’t shut down, but I dwell.

My mind won’t let things go. Not in an unforgiving way towards others, because I love the humans I surround myself with, but I’m unforgiving with myself.

A year ago, I ended an abusive relationship. I couldn’t get away though. Despite everything I tried, my ex harassed me to no end.

After a year, an amazing hiatus in Europe, and some personal time to reflect, I can say I’m on the path to forgiving myself. Why? Well, because it’s not my fault. I’m beginning to realize that the small things I used to dwell on no longer hold so much gravity in my being. With a growing sense of self-assurance, my insecurities diminish. I’ve always sought out freedom, and when I can finally free my mind and heart from the weight of all the things I dwell on, then I will truly be liberated. Don’t look back, push forward, love yourself, love the world.

Wonder Day - Tracie Wells

I changed one thing and that changed everything. I would not call it a positive change; it was a move beyond positive and negative to where things just are. Nor can I take credit for making the change. It came to me like a breeze blowing by, this time I let it sweep me off my feet. I thought it would take me to a new place, instead it set me back on the same spot, but all the world was different. The breeze itself is my new home. It is inside of me but doesn't come from me. The big change I have made is listening to it, feeling it, trusting it, learning to let it guide me, letting go of everything else.
