Wonder Day 12.31.14 - Terry Barrett

My true love neither understands nor appreciates sarcasm. I would make what I thought was a witty and humorous remark and she would either not get it or be offended by missing my intended humor...I learned that although I grew up with sarcasm as a mode of communication that I thought was universally appreciated, I learned that many did not find it funny...

  1. Having grown up in the same family, I totally get what you've said about sarcasm. It can be an arrow that strikes your funny bone or hits you elsewhere and hurts. I feel badly about the times I have used it unsuccessfully, especially with my children. Your experience has taught me, and now I refrain from using it too. Thank you, Terry.
