Wonder Day 11.6.14 - Dan Betzel

I celebrated Rosh Hashanah--The Jewish New Year--about a month ago. Leading up to the holiday, I put my attention on creating greater connection and empathy between me and all other life forms I come in contact with. I put my attention on the person, and say: Just like me, this person is seeking happiness in his/her life; Just like me, this person is trying to avoid suffering in his/her life; Just like me, this person has known sadness, loneliness, and despair; Just like me, this person is learning about life. The result has been a greater sense of inner peace; connection; ability to be present and conscious with what is rather than with what I think should be. A Greater sense of peace. I plan on continuing with this practice for the rest of the year.

Another fun game I am playing with myself is the "Power of the Question". I believe that the quality of our lives is directly related to the quality of the questions we ask ourselves.  If we ask ourselves dis-empowering questions, I believe we will get dis-empowering answers.  So, a question I am asking myself is: "What can I give my family, friends, and clients today that money can NOT buy?"
